Two men, including a teacher at a basic education high school in Thandaunggyi, Thandaunggyi Township, Kayin State, were shot dead on May 12.

At around 10.45am on May 12, U Kyaw Nyein, 36, a high school teacher from Thandaung Basic Education High School (2) in Thandaung Township, was talking to U Chan Nu, 41, a resident of Thandaung Township.

Kyaw Nyein and Chan Nu, a high school teacher, were shot and killed at the scene.

Security forces are working to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of the assassination.
