Union Ministers and Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Chan Hai met separately in Nay Pyi Taw to discuss increasing bilateral investment and trade. According to the press release of the Ministry of Information, the issues of cooperation in the sports sector were discussed.

Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade Communications; Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw and the delegation led by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar Chan Hai visited the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade Communications in Nay Pyi Taw on the morning of October 14. During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar said that Myanmar’s socio-economic development, The Chinese government is participating in investment and manufacturing activities. He said that he would like to discuss future cooperation plans.

Then Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw spoke about the socio-economic programs that will be implemented with the aid provided by China. It is reported that they discussed issues related to the increase of bilateral investment and foreign trade communication.

The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Communications. Deputy Minister It is reported that the Director General of the Department of Foreign Trade and Communications and relevant department officials attended.

Similarly, U Aung Naing Oo, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and a delegation led by the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Chan Hai met at the reception hall of the Union Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce at 10:30 on October 14th.

It is said that during the meeting, issues related to the promotion of trade between the two countries were discussed.

In the meeting, the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar first stated that the Chinese government is providing support in the best possible way to raise the standard of living of the people of Myanmar and develop their interests. He said that he would like to mainly discuss Myanmar-China cooperation issues.

After that, Union Minister U Min Thein Zang said that he was particularly happy that the athletes from Myanmar who will compete in the Southeast Asian Games will be invited to China for joint training and that the Myanmar athletes who will compete in the (32th) Southeast Asian Games will be held in Cambodia. He expressed his gratitude for the development of the world level of Myanmar sports and for the support in the upgrading and repair of the National Sports Hall (1) Thuwunna.
