The last appeal of Dr Aye Maung’s case was rejected

Daw Aye Nu Sein, a lawyer who runs the case against author Wai Aung, said: “The appeal was rejected today. Three times we appealed the district court’s appeal and three appeals. Even the Supreme Court did not have the authority to review. All are rejected, ”he told The Irrawaddy.
Tin Maung Win, the son of Dr Aye Maung’s son, said that such sentences should be reviewed on the government’s national reconciliation policy.
Tin Maung Win, a state Hluttaw representative, said, “Aung San Suu Kyi was kept under house arrest, not in rebellion during the military regime. It is like my enemies are all in prison under the democratic government. ”
“The government is shouting ‘Pang now’. They are shouting for national reconciliation. Do their actions really reach national reconciliation? “We need to review whether they have not yet arrived.”
