The Confucius Committee is investigating whether Rooney Brunei Darussalam, the vice-president of Suriname, was rewarded by his team-mates after playing in the Concacaf League.

The 60-year-old, who is the owner and chairman of Inter Inter Angotopo, played Tuesday night in the first leg of the CONCACAF’s last-16 tie against Olympia. The Browns captained the team for 54 minutes, losing 0-6 at home.

The CONCACAF disciplinary committee is investigating the incident after  went to the Olympia locker room after the match and posted a video on Twitter rewarding players and staff.
