More than 300 Burmese workers have been arrested in four days for illegally crossing the border into Thailand.
News of the crackdown, including on CIs, has led to an increase in illegal immigration at border crossings, leading to mass arrests.
The arrested Burmese nationals paid more than 20,000 baht each to brokers.
On November 12, Thai authorities arrested 13 Burmese nationals who crossed the border into Burma from Mae Ramat Township in Mae Sot Township on the Thai-Burmese border.
The detainees were said to be 10 men and three women, each of whom was paid 20,000 baht each by a Kerry broker from Bangkok on the Thai-Burmese border.
The arrested Burmese nationals are from Bago, They are from Kayin State and various townships in Myanmar.
